Not Much Is Going On

I thought that my life would seem less busy when I moved in with Reed because I wouldn't be having to make plans to 'see' him. But boy was I wrong! No, I don't have to make plans to see him now, he's home every night after work. We have suppper, play with Alexis before putting her down for the night and then we have some 'us' time.

That's another thing! I didn't realize how different it would be to go to bed with Reed after I moved in. Ok, I know that sounds strange and I don't really know how to explain it but it just feels so different laying next to him now; not bad, just different, almost unreal? Like I'm dreaming? But that doesn't make sense.

Maybe I'm just waiting for something to happen to burst this bubble he's got me all wrapped up in.

Okay so what about the Party that Chris called about when is that going to happen? How are Devon and Janie doing? Or Reed's dad and Mom? How did the move go? I am just curious can you tell?

Oh Amber - you think it's different going to bed with Reed now - wait till you're married! It REALLY changes then. As a matter of fact....EVERYTHING changes when you get married!

Wow! I thought there would be more to this post since there was none yesterday. Am I being a brat? There's so much going on in this story I want to know what happeneing with it all. I'm with Carmel Beauty - when's the party? And who does Chris want to bring to the party? What's up with Janie and Devon? What happened to the mystery caller? Where's Penny been? Where is Devon living now that he gave his house to Kelly? So much we need to know......please fill us in soon!!

This is Amber writing her story in a diary of sorts so she wouldn't know when the party is, how would she know who Chris is bringing to the party since she isn't even sure there is a party, she doesn't know who the mystery caller is, and good for her she isn't obsessing over it.

Don't get me wrong I would like to know all those answers, but being wrote from her perspective only, she can only write about what is important to her at that moment that she is writing in her journal.

Was that last line a little bit of foreshadowing??? I think so.

Angela is always so good to us - once in a while she makes it short & sweet. She has also said that she writes from Amber's perspective & feels a young mother her age with a boyfriend, job etc wouldn't have time to write long posts every day. Great job per usual!

oh dear lord this is killing me ..who is the mystery caller!?!?! is this chick going to escalate into like leaving notes at their house and stuff or will she just fizzle out of the story now that amber has moved in with reed!??!?!

i love the story. does anyone else find it odd that devon can just give his house away? i mean what does he have, brad pitt's money? plus reed built this gorgeous lake-front home & how old is he? most people i know can't afford these extravagent items. and most single moms i know are struggling to get by. i think sometimes the fantasy in this is a little much. just my thoughts.

yes devon does have brad pitt's money or more than most of us normally have. we've all been reading the same blog right? i understand that the guys at 27 have more money than they really need and they don't have to work the high paying jobs they have at their father's company but they do anyway. am i wrong?

Yea, this is a very wealthy high powered town. Anyone ever watch gilmore girls?? Rory's boyfriend... That is totally how I picture Reed/Devon.

Besides, while the majority of the population does not have expendible cash like these boys do, you would be suprised at how many young people are doing today. Many friends of mine are already purchasing their first condos on their own based on their own salary/salaries (youngest friend being 23 just closed last week). Today a lot of kids are leaving school and jumping into high paying jobs. It is not always easy and more often than not we struggle or have to work multiple jobs to afford what we want, but yea, like I said, we are buying stuff out of our own pocket that most would never think kids in their 20s could. You are either like Reed/Devon and born into it and get handed a job, or you work your tukus off.

Anon 2:53 - I asked the same question....how in the heck can Devon just give his house to some girl he didn't even like, much less love, and where is he living now?

Good point Gatormonkey, about Rory's boyfriend on the Gilmore Girls.
I had thought before that Devon and Reed's easy access to money was weird before, but with that character on the Gilmore Girls I never even questioned it.
